IP Vision App Reviews

I have an AirLink101 SkyIPCam500W Wireless Night Vision Camera (also called the AICN500W). Using this program, I can view live video from my iPod Touch. My camera sends the Motion JPEG (MJPEG) stream directly to the web through my wireless router (NO PC NEEDED in the chain), and the IP Vision software on my iPod Touch converts it (on the fly) to the format that the iPod requires (I think either H.264 or an MPEG4 format). There is no audio feature yet. I really like the GUI. It Works Great!! My problems are solved!!

Use with Linksys to monitor weather & drive condition at vacation home. Phenominal picture.

I recently picked up a TRENDnet TV-IP422W camera and am using IP Vision as the viewer. Watching the babys room is clean and simple whether it be at home or on the road. This app is easy to configure (assuming you know the mjpeg url for your camera) and easy to manage. Note: edited my post about pan/tilt control since that is in the Pro version of this app.

An IP camera app that actually works with the Linksys WVC54GC! App performs as advertised, how refreshing! Easy to set up, excellent picture. Well worth the price.

IP Vision worked exactly as advertised. It was easy to setup and the video streaming to the iPhone looks surprisingly good. Works great on my LAN, public wifi, and 3G. I emailed a technical question and got a prompt, accurate reply.

This is exactly what I was looking for to connect directly to my Linksys IP webcam!

Works great, no crashes. Now if they would just make it so I could move the cameras (eg pan/tilt/zoom) the program would totally rock. Well worth money though.

Despite the authors claims that this works with MPEG4 streams, the truth is this only works with the video part of the MPEG stream. Sound is not supported. This is may not be a problem depending on your application, but its something you should know, and something the author should do a better job disclosing. In addition many valid MPEG4 streams are not accepted. In the end, this is basically an $8 program that will probably just let you watch a soundless MJPEG stream. Kind of like Safari already lets you do...

I have to say that I was suprised at the ease of set-up. I had this up-and-going in no time. It works well with my Trendnet IP Cam. That being said..... I do think that it is silly that you have such limited viewing ability over the 3G connection. If AT&T is opening up the network to allow for things like Skype to function fully over the network then I see NO reason that this couldnt be fully functional over 3G. Especially when you consider the number of people that would be using a service like this compaired to those that would use Skype... I think the impact would be minimal. So I will give 5-Stars for now but that will go down if future updates dont include much improved 3G capabilities.

Works on my D Link DCS G900 Easy set up on wi-fi, will try with port forwarding. Excellent app!

IP Vision is a great app for viewing your ip cam! I had a little trouble making the camera work over 3G (my fault). However, I received great support and was able to get the camera working over 3G. Looking forward to its many uses! Thanks for all your help!!

Well I bought my iphone for a few other things also, but this was the most important. I have three businesses with two cameras each, I needed to monitor them when I wasnt home at my computer. This is the perfect app for that. After a few questions to Marcio in support, I was on my way. E-mail questions were answered within hours, not days. Great product and support. Now Im going to have to buy my wife one.

Very great support from Marcio. Prompt and able to tell me exactly what I can do to get things going even though my products documentation was not even close to being clear. Easy to setup for all supported cameras. Highly recommended.

I like the app and is the closes thing I have find for a rtsp player on iPhone. I was able to make it work with my own HW server, however there is a big limitation, it can only render 3fps using H.264 baseline at 320x240px (iPhone 1st Generation). I guess Apple havent release access to the iphone acceleration so the developer is stock with software decoding. Also it will be great if the developer removes his restriction of 320x240 or 480x320 and allow other resolutions (i.e. my HW delivers widescreen using 360x240) Keep the great job! and I hope Apple can allow the usage of HW acceleration!

So cool for the price. I monitor a ton of axis and linksys cameras with this app. Keep up the great work, dev!

This App works great and just as described. It does everything its supposed to do and is much better than using Safari to view your camera. Works great with my Sharx Security SCNC3605. Thank you!

I walked around the shop and made sure all my employees saw what this device allows me to do. Thats all that is really needed. I could be at my sons soccer game and check in on all my 10 cameras! Great app

This app crashes more than any other app I have ever used. I have tried it on my iphone, itouch and ipad. It only really works about half of the time. It hangs, crashes and sometimes will not even launch on a regular basis. I run the latest F/W and have the lastest updates to the app. When it works, it works well, but not for very long.
